Role Overview

The Inventory Analyst position is intended to offer professional

Merchandising experience within Borders. In this position individuals will gain the foundational experience that will be required to advance to other Merchandising positions.

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for replenishing and allocating items within their assigned category. This position is responsible for analyzing previous trends and data for assigned categories to ensure effective management of inventory. This position is also responsible for setting up items, adjusting stock levels and monitoring exceptions within the replenishment systems.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Merchandising or equivalent experience

• Internship experience in marketing, merchandising or operations preferred

• Proven leadership abilities and demonstrated initiative

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent analytical, fact-based decision making and problem solving skills

• Flexible and the ability to adapt to change

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and manage time to meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills

• Outstanding work ethic and a commitment to excellence
