The Second Year, Semester 4
Master Thesis
Thesis work valued at a minimum of 30 ECTS
during Semester 4 (and quite often part of Semester 3)
The Second Year, Master Thesis
Thesis work at CU can be undertaken on campus, in
association with UK Space industry (Astrium,
Vega), at the RAL laboratory of the research
councils or in collaboration with the Open
University.
The Second Year, Master Thesis, (2)
Thesis work at CTU, HUT and JMUW can be performed
around the laboratories at the universities and/or in Space
related research projects with connection to the universities
The Second Year, Master Thesis, (3)
Thesis work at LTU can be performed around the excellent
facilities in the Esrange Base in Lapland area, Kiruna, in
close collaboration with the European Space Agency ESA and
other Space Agencies. Thesis work will also be done at the
Swedish Institute for Space Physics (IRF) located on Campus
and at NEAT- the North European Test Range at Vidsel.
The Second Year, Master Thesis, (4)
Thesis work at UPS in France can be performed in Toulouse
which benefits from a large support in industry and research
institutions. For instance applied thesis could be realised in
industries like ALCATEL SPACE or CNES (Centre National des
Etudes Spatiales).
Research thesis could be realised in the laboratories belonging
to Observatoire Midi Pyrénées.
The Second Year, Master Thesis, (5)
Some of the Thesis work will be integrated projects in telerobotics, remote operation, sensor data fusion and automatic
control where the participating students are located at
different institutions in Europe and other non-EU countries.
The Second Year, Master Thesis, (6)
Some of the EU students Thesis work will be performed at
one of the SpaceMaster Global Partnership universities in
a non-European country
Scholarships for Third-country students

Tuition fees for students in SpaceMaster
•11 000 EUR/year for non-EU students
•We offer currently tuition waivers for EU students
Financial support for EU students in
SpaceMaster
•Erasmus mobility grants for EU students
•ESA scholarships to some EU SpaceMaster students
Admission criteria for SpaceMaster (1)
•A good quality Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Natural
Science, Mathematics or equivalent qualifications
