Task:
For each of the following sentences, write the correct word of the pair in parentheses.
At least one word in each pair appears in the essay we will be reading today.

below.

If you were a tutor, how would you explain to your student what he or she
needs to write to complete the assignment? In other words, your student
asks, “I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do, or how to do it”…What
would you say?
Student’s Assignment/ Prompt:
Defend why it is or isn’t important to be a good friend. Describe the
difference between a good friend and a bad one and give an example
from personal experience.
