This catalogue lists all promises to be auctioned off this evening.
If you have not already done so on arrival, please complete a registration form and collect your bidding number from a
member of The Friends.
HOW TO MAKE A BID



The auctioneer will announce the lot number and begin the bidding.
To make a bid simply hold up your bidding number so that it is clearly visible to the auctioneer.
If someone outbids you and you wish to raise your bid you will need to hold up your bidding number again.

Please be aware that the auctioneer may start bidding with sealed bids given before the event on behalf of
interested parties not in attendance.
IF YOU WIN THE BIDDING

When the bidding has stopped the auctioneer will announce the final price bid (purchase price) and the winning
bidder’s number.
PAYING FOR YOUR PROMISE






All promises must be paid for on the night of the auction.
To pay for your promise simply go to the cashier’s desk at any time during the evening.
Please note that cashiers may be very busy at the end of the auction so it is recommended that you make your
payment as early in the evening as you can or during the interval.
Payments can only be made in cash or card. We accept all major credit and debit cards.
Upon payment the cashier will hand you an envelope containing the donor’s name and contact details, or
vouchers, or purchased object as appropriate.
Please ask for a receipt if you require one.
COLLECTING YOUR PROMISE



As the purchaser it is up to you to make contact with the donor in order to make all the necessary arrangements
for the delivery/execution of your purchased promise.
Unless otherwise stated or agreed, promises must be taken within the timescale stated in lot descriptions.
Please give reasonable notice when claiming your ‘promise’ but most importantly enjoy!
