Content
The Commercial Training Center of Department of Commerce of Hainan Province was
established in 2000, it is a division level institution under the direct guidance of Department of
Commerce of Hainan Province. Currently the center has 29 staffs, of which 16 possess bachelor degree
or above, and 11 own middle and high level professional titles. The major tasks of the center include
business and technical qualification training, business abroad exhibition, training of exported labor and
Hainan representative office of China International Electronic Commerce Center (EDI) etc. The center
is well structured with sound financial conditions and fully equipped in terms of office facilities. The
center owns 5 cars and 1 middle size bus. Since 2008, under the guidance of the Department of
Commerce, the center actively communicated with the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture and
Hainan University, and participated in the actual operation of foreign aid training projects given by
Ministry of Commerce, which included the training projects of "Pacific Island Countries Tourism
Training Course”, “Tropical Crops Production and Processing Technique Training Course for
Developing Countries”, “Tropical Agriculture New Technology Training Course for Developing
Countries”, “Tropical Agriculture and Tourism Seminar for Developing Countries ”, “Island Climate
Change and Tourism Development Seminar for Developing Countries”, “Agricultural Products
Processing Technique Training Course for Uganda”, “Tropical Marine Industry Development
Seminar for Developing Countries” , “Island Economy Seminar for Developing Countries”, “Tropical
Fruits and Vegetables Planting and Processing Technique Training Course for Developing Countries”
and “Tropical Fruits and Vegetables Planting and Processing Technique Training Course for
French-speaking African countries ” etc. In 2014, the commercial training center has become the one of
training bases of Academy for International Official (AIBO), MOFCOM.
The lectures primarily covered the following areas: Overview of China, The development status of
international tropic tourism and characteristics of talent demands, The Management of Tourism
Resources and Scenic Spots, Characteristics of Cultivation Patterns for Hotel Management Talent
Under the Background of International Tourism Island, The Sales strategy of tourism marketing etc.
The training center will invite the related department -- Hainan University, Hainan Tourism Committee,
Hainan College of Economics and Business and other units’professors and scholars to give the
lectures. The seminar will combine the lectures and field trips. Trainees will be arranged to visit and
investigate Chengmai, Wenchang, Qionghai, Wanning, Sanya, Xi’an, Xianyang and Shangluo during
the training, in order to enable students to have a comprehensive understanding of modern China and a
better understanding of the knowledge studied in class, so that they can deal with Tourism Affairs more
effectively in the future work and promote the friendly cooperation between the two sides.
