The Ring of Fire is located in the Pacific Ocean; it is an area where numerous volcanic eruptions and earthquakes occur. The Ring of Fire is also called the Pacific Ring of Fire; many different catastrophic events occur in this area of the world. Tsunami are large waves caused by sudden movement of the ocean due to earthquakes, landslides, large volcanic eruptions or meteorite impact in the ocean. A tsunami does terrible damage to a town or village. It can completely destroy the town or village and can kill thousands of people. It can also take the sand right off the beach with no problems.
