Covina, Calif. (September 1, 2012) – Producers Retha and Chris Champion and director Steve Julian
invite you and a guest to Arthur Miller's Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning play DEATH OF A
SALESMAN at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts, a plush 99-seat theater in the heart of the San
Gabriel Valley.
Press members may attend opening weekend (no show Saturday, Oct. 13) or any subsequent
performance.
The cast is led by Jody St. Michael (Hellraiser and Gorillas in the Mist) as Willy Loman, Jill B. Gerber
as Linda, Shawn Vena as Biff, Chad Goodwin as Happy, Scott Haven as Ben, Andrew Batiz as
Bernard, Mike Johnson as Charley, Fred Saliba as Howard and Candida Orosco as The Woman.
DEATH OF A SALESMAN runs Friday, October 12 through Sunday, November 4 at the Covina
Center for the Performing Arts, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm (no

Steve Julian (Director) this year wrote and directed Altarcations for the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Other directing credits include Arsenic and Old Lace at CCPA, No. Saints Lane (Coeurage Theatre Co.)
and numerous one acts for LA's Drama West. Acting credits include Beverly in August: Osage County,
Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol, Ernie in Rumors, Charles Webb in Our Town, Carl in Bus Stop,
Martin Vanderhof in You Can't Take It with You and Mr. Veeder in Sinclair Lewis' It Can't Happen Here.
He has performed with Ghost Road, Wicked Lit, IVRT and Parsons Nose and founded a children's
literacy nonprofit Hear Me Read. Steve writes about actors, directors and playwrights for LA Stage
Times, serves as a CCPA board member and since 2000 has been the morning host on public radio station
89.3 KPCC.
