 Germans are on military time which is 1-24
 AM hours are normal like ours (1 AM-11 AM)
 PM hours go from 13 (1 PM) until 24 (midnight/12 AM)
 Wie viel Uhr ist es? OR Wie spät ist es?
 What time is it?
 Germans say hour first then minutes
 Es ist Zehn Uhr Elf
 Es ist 14 Uhr 48
 Germans say they are halfway to the next hour
 Es ist halb Neun (Halfway to 9= 8:30)
 Viertel means quarter (15 minutes)
 Viertel nach (Quarter after)
 Viertel vor (Quarter before)
 They use a period instead of a colon- 14.00, 23.45, 5.04
