evolve over time? Discuss the cases of Laura Black/ Richard Farley,
Colleen/ Walter, and Charles “Lee” Redmond/ Nicole.

Prison Systems
• Compare and contrast the U.S. Prison system with those from the
following countries: Russia, Mexico, and Peru.
• What aspects of each country’s prison system are strong? Which are
weak?

What are the top 10 problems you noticed with the U.S.
Prison system and how could they be addressed ?

Part VIII –
Organized Crime
• Briefly explain the history of the following organized crime groups
along with what they do and where the are primarily located: La Cosa
Nostra, Russian Mafia, YaKuZa, Mexican Cartels.
Part IX –
Mass, Spree, and Serial Killers
• Refer back to Dr. Aamodt’s presentation that you modified and
explain briefly the difference between a mass, spree, and serial killer.
Provide an example of each and compare and contrast their
mentalities.
