from the Odyssey By Homer As a way to simplify your work load, you will be assigned sections (each with their own tales) from the Odyssey for our last literature unit of the year. You will have to complete each and every one of the requirements below with your group members. You and your group will then present your assigned sections to the rest of the class, as if they have no knowledge of the content of your assigned sections. It is your job to make sure all of your peers know the details of your sections. The end result should be a complete and thorough summary of the Odyssey in its entirety. Each group must complete the following for each of the tales assigned within each section: 1. A complete summary of each tale to include characters and characterization details, plot or sequence of events, setting details, theme(s), symbols, conflict(s), and any other detail you deem necessary for complete understanding of each tale in your assigned section 2. A minimum of two (2) important quotes from each tale in your assigned section with a rationale for your choices 3. A minimum of one picture per tale that illustrates each tale’s plot or details necessary for complete understanding of each tale in your assigned section 4. A minimum of one (1) question per tale that your group has and hopes will be answered by Homer in the following tale 5. A prediction of what your group believes will happen in the next tale. In addition, include a prediction of what your group believes will happen in the next section of the Odyssey. Your group presentation may be done utilizing any format including PowerPoint (a print out must be turned in), poster boards, or handouts. Each group will be required to take detailed notes of each presentation to be turned in along with your own presentation.
