Hello and welcome to Billy’s Diet. Thank you for your purchase of a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) Plan. This plan will provide you around 735 calories per day on average. The granola Can be eaten dry as a crunchy snack or like a cereal with skimmed milk. Don’t forget to add your carbs for skimmed milk (approx 63 calories per 150ml). The porridge. For microwave cooking: mix powder with 150 ml of skimmed milk (extra 63 calories per 150ml) or cold water in microwave safe bowl. Cook for 1 min, stir then cook again for 1 to 1 ½ mins. Let stand for 2 to 3 mins before eating. For pan cooking: mix powder and 150 ml of skimmed milk (extra 63 calories per 150ml) or cold water in a pan. Simmer for 3 to 4 mins, stir occasionally. Let stand 2 to 3 mins before eating. (guide only) The single serving soups and Caffe Latte. Pour the powder into a large cup or mixing jug. Pour on 200-220 ml of hot but not boiling water. Stir and then mix with a hand blender or whisk. I add a little salt and pepper to flavour. The single serving silver soups Blend 200ml of skimmed milk with 1 packet. Microwave for 1 min. Although I prefer them made like the other soups and with hot water. The single serving shakes. For the shakes mix 1 packet with 220ml of cold water or skimmed milk (approx 125 calories per 220ml). Use a hand blender or shaker for best results. Or you can use a shaker which blends the powder without any lumps or mixing needed. You can then drink it straight from the shaker and save washing up! Shakers are available from my website. The single serving meals. Empty content of one packet into a small saucepan (or into a microwave safe bowl). Add 160 to 170 ml of boiling water. Microwave on high (800W) for 30 seconds to 3 mintues. (These are guidelines only as microwaves can vary.) Stir and microwave for a further 15 to 30 seconds. Or cook on the hob for 3 to 4 mins. Eat straight away. I prefer the slightly longer cooking time on mine. Nutritional Information This plan is a VLCD. On an average day a non-dieter will consume around 2000 calories for a woman and 2500 calories for a man. If you reduce your calories you will lose weight. The guide shows the calories in my products. It is a good idea to write down what you consume per day. Also remember to add the calories from milk!
