Why do some Christians believe
God used evolution?
“We believe that the diversity and
interrelation of all life on earth are best
explained by the God-ordained process
of evolution and common descent. Thus,
evolution is not in opposition to God, but
a means by which God providentially
achieves his purposes.”
“There is now so much evidence
challenging the Darwinian paradigm that
no thinking person, armed with the facts,
can continue to regard it as scientific.
Much of the problem is that people do not
know the facts, including many in the
church. Our teenagers go to their secular
schools and universities and are told, day
after day, that science has disproved the
Bible and many end up accepting the lie
because no one in their church can
present the alternative view.”

Because what may be known of God is
manifest in them, for God has shown it to
them.
For since the creation of the world His
invisible attributes are clearly seen, being
understood by the things that are made,
even His eternal power and Godhead, so
that they are without excuse.

Origin of the Universe
Where did the matter come
from to create the universe?

“All stars form in much the same manner
as the Sun did. The formation of a star
begins with a cloud of interstellar gas
and dust, called a nebula, which
collapses on itself as a result of its own
gravity…. The condensed object will
become a new star.”

Then God made two great lights: the
greater light to rule the day, and the
lesser light to rule the night. He
made the stars also.

The popular idea is that stars form from
vast clouds of gas and dust through
gravitational contraction.

Creation Is Too Divisive
Teaching creation is too
divisive. We should keep
to the main doctrines.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is given by inspiration
of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be
complete, thoroughly equipped for
every good work.
Jesus and Controversy
Never once did Jesus compromise to
be popular. His mission was to destroy
the works of the devil.
For this purpose the Son of God was
manifested, that he might destroy the
works of the devil.

Matthew 15:12-14
Then His disciples came and said to Him,
"Do You know that the Pharisees were
offended when they heard this saying?"
But He answered and said, "Every plant
which My heavenly Father has not planted
will be uprooted.

Many churches believe they
can be neutral to avoid conflict
Neutrality = Surrender
The church blends in with the world
Neutrality
He who is not with Me is
against Me, and he who
does not gather with Me
