End of Lab Procedures • Clean work area! • Turn off/ unplug materials • Dispose of trash in the designated bin. • Hazardous waste dispose of where I say to. • WASH YOUR HANDS! First aid tips Injury What to Do BURNS Immerse burns in cold water CUTS Cover cuts with clean bandage. Apply direct pressure to wound to stop bleeding. Spills on Skin Flush the skin with large amounts of water. Object in Eye Flush eye with large amounts of water. Seek medical attention. Safety Symbols • Open the book to page 25 • Take out a SLICE of paper and begin to draw each of the safety symbols found on page 25. • After drawing the symbols, write the reason for the symbol.
