Students will complete a mock unit 1 GCSE exam in examination conditions. The duration of the exam will be 1 hour 30 minutes. The exam covers the physical Geography units studied at GCSE which are:

Students should also use practice exam papers to help them prepare for the exam.

In class students will complete, in exam conditions, an exam question. The question will be based on a cartoon and will state, "What is the cartoonist's message? Use details from the cartoon and your own knowledge to answer the
question" The cartoon will be about the Night of the Long
Knives.
Ideas for revision will be discussed in class and period 6 revision sessions will be offered to students.
There is also the opportunity for students to purchase a CGP revision guide from school which is specific to the specification we follow.

To prepare/revise at home: students will need to top-up their knowledge of Night of the Long
Knives using the Germany Revision Pack and their exercise books. An additional sheet, containing this content will also be provided.
In addition, students will be given a booklet containing four cartoon-based questions- students will need to use this booklet to practice answering cartoon-based questions.
Students will need to think about how to answer all four questions and should be able to give, orally- the cartoonist's main message, images from the cartoon that support this main message, own knowledge that supports this interpretation of the cartoon.
Students will prepare at home the week prior to the exam by revising the topics that they have studied in theory lessons. Their revision materials and resources are saved in their B numbers which they will need to save to their
