Response to Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now You will read Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now and participate on class discussions. You are also encouraged to find external sources relating to Tolle and his book. Your job is to develop an argument for or against Tolle’s ideas, citing examples from your experience. To enhance your response, you must cite other sources. Therefore, please cite three *legitimate* sources from the library, the Web, and various print publications. Please note that your citations do not need to be long; you simply want to incorporate other voices into your writing to give it greater legitimacy and make it more compelling. Start by citing a legitimate biographical source on Tolle. Then cite Tolle’s book, The Power of Now. Finally, you should be able to find plenty of book reviews of The Power of Now. That will give you three sources. You can add additional sources if you like, but don’t get carried away. Three are required, but five will be plenty. Use the “according to” method. Your rhetorical strategy will be argument. We will discuss this techniques in class.
