PART 1 – Presentation:
1. You will present this information to the class using Google Docs Presentation,
PowerPoint, Prezi, Windows Movie Maker, or a web-based digital poster, etc.
2. Your presentation must include a Title Slide, Table of Contents Slide and a Summary
Slide (your closing last slide).
3. In addition, your presentation should include all relevant information such as:
a. Personal background (where the person(s) grew up, family, etc.)
b. Formal education (degrees, etc.)
c. Organizations worked for (private, government, university, self, etc.)
d. Different careers/positions they have had.
e. Influences that led them to become a technology pioneer.
f. Description of what makes them technology leaders/pioneers.
g. Inventions, ideas, and technology they created or enhanced.
h. How their influences are felt today.
i. Other relevant information. (up to 18 slides total)
4. You are encouraged to incorporate pictures, sounds, and/or video clips, etc. in your
presentation.
5. You need to present for a minimum of 3 minutes per person (not including videos, etc.)
6. Make it creative and interesting! 

PART 2 – Report:
In addition to the presentation, you are to write a research paper about the person(s)
you have chosen. Give as much detail as possible about the following topics:

Your report should be at least 2 pages double-spaced (12 point font, Times New Roman).
It should also include a third page for works cited. Please use the MLA format, including
proper headings, page numbers, etc.
DO NOT COPY ANY INFORMATION INTO YOUR REPORT. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN
AUTOMATIC ZERO.

Presentation Format & Technique
Followed all directions: Presentation had introduction, table of contents and summary
(closing) slides. The correct number of slides was used as instructed. Utilized speaker
notes. The presentation flowed nicely and was interesting. The presenter(s) was able to
capture his/her audience. Spoke clearly and projected voice well. No distractions.
Layout/Formatting: Slides stayed consistent, fonts, colors, graphs, bullets, layout and
text. Fonts were legible. The background was visibly appealing and worked well with
the overall color scheme of slides. Bullets and text aligned properly
Images & Graphics Usage: The Graphics, clip art, animation, were used correctly to
enhance information used in presentation. Images complemented slides and were not too
overwhelming.
Adv. Components/Multimedia Usage: The speaker(s) used timings; slide transitions,
looping, and multi-media features properly and the presentation went smoothly (No lost
slides or menu pop-ups). Action buttons and links worked correctly.
Editing Technique: The presenter(s) avoided errors in spelling, and used proper
grammar, punctuation, format, text, usage, and pronunciation. Followed rules of
capitalization and used Title Case for Slide Titles.
