Global Change - Winter 01 Syllabus Overview Course Description: •One course, many departments: UC, SNRE, Sociology, AOSS (Engin), Anthopology, Geology •“Team teaching” from professors with expertise in different fields •For science and non-science majors, no prerequisites •Social Science credit •Part of a two semester sequence, and core course of the Global Change Academic Minor Course Requirements • Lectures: MWF 12-1, 1528 CCL • Readings: online lecture notes (NOT a substitute for lecture!) • No textbook or coursepack • Lab/discussion section: starts this week in the scheduled classrooms. Usually meets in ITD computing classrooms for ArcView (GIS) labs. • Group Term Project: online presentation of a topic covered in the course. • Tests: 2 midterms (in class) and a final.
