Chemicals: Information regarding all chemicals can be found on Material Safety

Data Sheets (MSDS). These sheets include any known hazards associated with the chemical (eg Very Toxic, Toxic, Flammable, Irritant, Corrosive), what to avoid contact with when using the chemical and emergency/first aid instructions.

These sheets are available on the internet (use the search term “chemical name

MSDS”).

Precautions: This details measures required to control any possible risk associated with the use of the chemical. For example if your risk assessment indicates that you need to wear a lab coat or safety goggles you MUST wear them.

Emergency Action: This details what to do in the event of an emergency and any first aid measures.
