WE GIVE SPECIAL HONOR TO MARY, THE

Crowning at Holy Family is Monday, May 12 at 7pm.
Everyone is invited to come and participate.
BAPTISMAL CLASS: All first time parents and parents
expecting their first child from St. Nicholas and Holy
Family are required (as instructed by the Toledo Diocese)
to attend Baptismal Instructions. The next class will be
held on Sunday morning May 18, 2014 from 9:30am11:15am in the Religious Ed Center at Holy Family New
Cleveland. Please call the parish office, 419-876-3481 or

or for more details and information. The next class will be
held in the fall of 2014.
HOLY FAMILY ALTAR ROSARY
THE HOLY FAMILY ALTAR ROSARY SOCIETY is
looking for one or two women to take over as President/CoPresidents. If interested or would like more info Contact

THE BLESSING OF RELIGIOUS ARTICLES will be
held after the 8:30 & 10:30am Masses on May 18. A table
will be placed at the front of each church for the larger
items.

year will be Nov. 22 at the 7pm Mass at Holy Family and

ATTENTION MILLER CITY SISTERS: If you would
like to become a member of Holy Family CLC to remain an

YES WORK SITES NEEDED: On June 13th and 14th
teens from St. George Deanery are volunteering to help
people throughout Putnam County with various jobs around
their homes as they participate in the annual Youth Elect
Service weekend retreat. If you would like a team of youth
and adults to help with jobs around your home, contact Deb
at the parish office. Also, if you are an adult- college age
to retired-and would like to assist with the YES weekend
(June 12-14) contact Deb at the office.
WE WOULD LIKE TO congratulate our second graders
who made their First Holy Communion, May 4 and our
seniors who will graduate Friday, May 16 at 7:00pm.! May
God continue to bless and guide you.
CHRISTIAN FORMATION/YOUTH GROUP
Please continue to save pop tabs; they may be placed in
containers and set in the back of either church.
Please mark your calendars: Vacation Bible School will
be held June 9-12. Forms have gone out and they are also
available on our parish web site. Click on Ministries, then
Christian Formation, then documents. Deadline to register
is May 21.
Youth Group members: 2014 Youth Elect Service takes
place June 12-14 at Columbus Grove High School for 8th
grade through graduating seniors. See Deb for registration
forms which are due May 21. If we meet our goal of 100
high school volunteers for St. George Deanery, each parish
youth minister will dye their hair.

CONGRATULATIONS TO FATHER BOB who will
celebrate 40 years as a Priest on May 25. If you would like

parish family.

St. Nicholas and Holy Family: Gabriel Joseph Long, son of
Jeff & Sarah; Ryker James Heuerman, son of Todd & Gina;
and Bree Elizabeth Kuhlman, daughter of Ryan & Mallory.
ARE YOU A CATHOLIC homeschooling family in the
Toledo diocese? Then please join us at 7 p.m. on Tuesday,
June 3, 2014 at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral
in Toledo for our 10th Annual Diocesan Homeschooling
Mass. It's a wonderful evening of prayer, fellowship, food
and fun! Please bring a finger-food dish to share for the
reception immediately following the Mass. If you have a
student who will be graduating 8th grade, or a graduating
high school senior, and would like your graduate to
participate in the ceremony after the Mass, please email
Lisa-Ann Brickner at oyc81@yahoo.com by May 16. We
can't wait to see you there!!
PLEASE CONTINUE TO DONATE food for the food
pantry throughout the month of May at St. Nicholas.
Donations should be placed on the St. Joseph side in the
front of church. List of needed items can be found on the
back table of both churches.
FRIENDLY REMINDER: When renting the parish hall
or church basement: Please do not use confetti or glitter to
decorate; No smoking in the buildings and have receptacle
for cigarette butts available if someone is going to be
smoking outside; Please be sure all lights are turned off; if
trash does not fit into the dumpster, please take it with you.
Since halls are being rented frequently please restore them
to their original condition.
ALL LADIES OF THE DIOCESE are invited to a
spiritual retreat at the Sorrowful Mother Shrine, Bellevue,
OH on Wednesday, June 4. The Day will include Mass,
Rosary, Exposition and an opportunity for Reconciliation.

LOOK GOOD, FEEL BETTER – Monday, May 19 at
Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center from 6-8pm.
Registration is required for this FREE program by calling
88-227-6446 (press #2) before Wednesday, May 14. A
woman undergoing cancer treatment may lose her hair or
suffer other appearance-related side effects making a
difficult time even harder. Specially trained volunteer
beauty consultants work with women to learn about
makeup, skin &nail care and ways to deal with hair loss.
Each woman receives a free makeup kit and shares laughter
with others going through the cancer journey.
PUTNAM COUNTY HOSPICE will offer training for
prospective volunteers beginning in September. The
training will take place at the Putnam County Home Care
and Hospice office, Ottawa. Hospice volunteers offer
companionship to patients, respite to caregivers, assistance
with administrative tasks, as well as assistance with special
events and fundraising projects. Following training,
volunteers can choose their area of involvement. Putnam
County Hospice is looking for volunteers in all areas, but is
especially in need of licensed massage therapists and
individuals with musical talent willing to join the volunteer
team. If you are interested in becoming a hospice volunteer

INPUT NEEDED FOR Putnam County Transportation
Needs Assessment. A steering committee of Putnam
County representatives is conducting a transportation needs
assessment to improve transportation options within
Putnam County. The committee is seeking input from
older adults, individuals living with disabilities, families
living below the poverty level, community organizations
and concerned citizens about unmet transportation needs.
