Dr Arham Abdullah graduated from UTM in Civil Engineering and holds P.hD in
Demolition Techniques from Loughborough University, United Kindom. He is a registered
member of Institute of Demolition Engineers, UK since 2002.
Demolition Case Study
Dr Arham Abdullah has been appointed by CIDB as a member of the Technical
Committee incharged for the development of Malaysian Standard for Demolition of
Building , MS 2318 in 2009. Beside that, he was also has been appointed by Majlis
Bandaraya Petaling Jaya ( MBPJ) to draft Guidelines for Building Demolition for MBPJ in
2010. Dr Arham Abdullah on his personal capacity has rendered services as Demolition
Consultant for various projects in Malaysia. He has vast experience in demolition works
especially on old flats and apartments, office blocks, Silos, Plaza ( Plaza Mayang PJ),
bridges and other old structures.
Dr Arham Abdullah is currently holding the position of Deputy Director of ICC, University
Technology of Malaysia and actively involved in giving talks / consultancy services on
demolition works based on MS 2318: 2012, Code of Practice for Building Demolition. He
is a well known person in building demolition works in Malaysia and appeared many times
in local media and news paper.
