The Arc Alliance Advocacy Services provides Supports Coordination for individuals

Burn Brae Day Camp for boys and girls ages 3 - 15 is a small, nurturing, tranquil

integrated with the general camp population so that our campers experience compassion,

Camp Lee Mar is a private residential special needs camp for children and teenagers with
mild to moderate learning and developmental challenges. A structured environment,

The Center for Autism Research (CAR) is a collaborative effort between The Children's
Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania. CAR's primary mission is to
understand the causes of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and develop effective
treatments through research with infants through adults. Families who participate receive
comprehensive assessment reports and are paid for their time and some travel expenses.
CAR is also committed to serving the needs of families living with ASD through
education and guidance. The new CAR Autism Roadmap(TM) seeks to help families
answer questions about life with autism, whether they are new to the diagnosis or have
lived with it for years, as well as connect them with resources in their communities via
the CAR Resource Directory.

Founded by parents in 1972, Chapel Haven has three comprehensive, individualized
programs located in CT and AZ for young adults (18 years and older) with developmental
and social disabilities including Asperger's Syndrome and those on the autism spectrum
who desire independence. These transitional two year residential programs provide
experiential learning in practical academics, job development, apartment living, social
competence, and help with college. Students transition into a community apartment with
follow-up lifelong support services. Summer programs are available. Chapel Haven is an

Dragonfly Forest is a non-profit organization that provides overnight summer camp
programming to children and teens with Autism and various medical conditions.
Additionally, in the summer of 2014, we launched a new week of camp called the
Explorers Program. This new program is a skill-building week of overnight camp for
individuals ages 13-20 with Autism and 22Q Chromosome Deletion Disorder (though not
limited to these conditions). The Explorers Program is designed to support our teens
through the transition to adulthood, providing assistance with some or all of the following
skills: independent use of to-do lists and schedules, clear communication in a team
environment, sustainable exercise routines, cooking, laundry, basic cleaning, and
identifying and responding to directions in different formats.

The Guided Tour, Inc., founded in 1972, was the first professionally supervised travel
and vacation program for adults with developmental and physical challenges. Our staff
are paid professionals, and we do not seek volunteers and have virtually no staff turnover.
A nurse accompanies most trips and we have a staff to traveler ratio of 1:3 and offer a
ratio of 1:1 for slow pacers, persons in wheelchairs persons with visual challenges. In our

Our facility has recently implemented a unique needs program which focuses on bringing
our services and expertise to exceptional children. For our first session, we provided a 45
minute modified yoga class coupled with a 30 minute modified karate class to this
population. This class is held on Saturdays at 9am. We hope to continue to offer this
schedule or a similar program multiple times throughout the year.

Our programs provide peer support to Montgomery County residents who have a major
mental health diagnosis (secondary diagnoses such as autism and/or substance abuse are
also eligible). The mentors understand from personal experience the pervasive effects of
a mental disorder that can cause social isolation, withdrawal from the community, and
difficulty accessing employment, education, and housing. Our certified peer specialists
bring practical knowledge and experience to guide our participants as they strive to
achieve their own recovery. Trail Guides is specific to young adults (18-26) who have
Magellan, and Community Support Connection is a county funded program for any
person over 18 who does not have Magellan (private insurance, no insurance, Medicare,
etc).
