Explanation:
Sequence: I like to organize information by making lists. I try to break down tasks into steps by
planning first, then acting on it. I also like for things to be neat and organized. I thrive on
consistency and dependability. I do not like change, and I don’t like to be rushed.
Precision: I enjoy learning new concepts and researching new information. I usually ask a lot of
questions for clarification. I feel great when I am correct upon answering a tough or probing
question. I am always writing things down, and I tend to leave long detailed messages. I
become agitated with people who do not share information.
Technical Reasoning: I avoid risk taking, and I want to know as much information that is
available. I definitely do not like to try to fix or problem solve on my own, because I have no
mechanical abilities. I would rather share information than to keep it to myself.
Confluence: I have a difficult time thinking outside of the box and reading between the lines. I
see things as black and white with very little gray. I avoid failing at all costs, so I am not a big
risk taker. I like to start a task with full clear directions, and I want to complete it on time
without any mistakes. I definitely want to stay focused on the plan and not think of the big
picture. Constructive criticism does not bother me.

Describe similarities between your LCI patterns and your MBTI characteristics:
I see several similarities between my LCI patterns and my MBTI characteristics:
I am an ISFJ. I feel I definitely have SJ characteristics that coincide with my use first patterns of
sequencing and precision, and contrast with my avoidance patterns of technical reasoning and
confluence.
1. I have a sense of duty and loyalty when it comes to my work. I aim to please everyone. I
feel I am very dependable when I am asked to do a task. First, I will make a list of what I
need to complete the task. Then, I plan it out step by step making sure everything is
precise and that it is completed on time. I need a very quiet and concentrated work
environment.
2. I have always been a rule follower. There are always things one “should” do, and there
are definitely things that one “should not” do. For example, I feel like everyone should
be polite to one another, and everyone should not use profanity.
3
I am not a big risk taker. I do not like to tinker with things to see how they work or try
to fix them. I’ve done it before and everything ends up in a big disarrayed mess.
4 I like working in a friendly cooperative work environment. I avoid conflict at all costs. As
Summer School Coordinator I tried to ensure that everyone was aware of their role and
expectations, and that there was a fun, inviting environment for the students.
5 I become very frustrated by last minute changes to schedules, due dates, and
directions. This causes me total chaos because I like for things to be predictable and
structured.
