HPSS G&T Specialism
St. Richard’s has continued with developing its work as a Lead School for Gifted and
Talented education. We have been partnered with William Parker High School as part of
the National Challenge G&T project. As a result of the work carried out St. Richard’s has
been invited to attend National Strategy meetings, discussing how to help improve G&T
work in National Challenge schools. As a result of this we are now developing greater links
with Bishop Bell School and The Causeway in Eastbourne.
We have also joined another group of five county schools who take it in turns to host
Gifted and Talented extra-curricular activities. This year Gifted and Talented pupils from
these schools will participate in: Young Leaders Award (PE), The Apprentice, Science
master classes
