File name convention for Experiment 2:
The first file (Trial 1) describes the spin-up of the model. The other Trials describe results for each level
of acceleration for the two different frequencies of loading. Specifically the model was excited with a
sinusoidal acceleration time-history at 2Hz frequency and at peak accelerations of 0.05g, 0.1g, 0.2, 0.3g
and 0.5g. Then the model was excited using the same peak accelerations but for 3Hz frequency. Trial 6
was a repeat of Trial 5 during which the shaking intensity was adjusted to get closer to the requested
0.3g.

Within each Trial folder we have included files with results from the: 1) Accelerometers in three
different categories: Shaker accelerometers were mounted on the shaker, soil accelerometers and wall
accelerometers, 2) strain gauges on the walls, 3) lasers recording wall displacements, and 4) LVDTs
recording backfill settlement.
