Six Flags Field Trip
6th/7th/8th Grade Field Trip Date: Tuesday, June 9th , 2015
A student is eligible to attend our Godwin Six Flags Amusement Park PRIDE field trip if they did not receive any referrals for the
2014-2015 school year and do not have outstanding debts for textbooks or library books . In order to remain eligible, he/she must
not receive any administrative referrals or have any overdue library books or textbooks, all the way through the date of the field
trip.
Cost:
The cost of admission, lunch and transportation for students and chaperone is $35.00.
Due to extensive planning purposes, permission forms must be returned to the main office with the
payment. Payment is due Friday, May 15th .
Time &
on. Transportation:
► Buses will leave Godwin in waves, at 9, 9:15, & 9:30 am, rain or shine. If the Park is open, the trip is
► Buses will leave Six Flags in waves, at 6:30, 6:45, and 7:00 pm.
► Parents will need to arrange to pick students up at Godwin at 7:30 pm for 6th grade; 7:45pm for 7th grade
8:00pm for 8th grade.
DO NOT PARK IN THE CIRCLE IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL. BUSES
WILL DROP STUDENTS OFF AT THE BUS CIRCLE IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL. Please park in
the side parking lot only.
What to Bring:
► Lunch is included for everyone attending the trip. Your child may bring spending money for
snacks, drinks, souvenirs. Students will have a lunch buffet in the park at a designated time.
► No cameras or other electronic devices are permitted. Godwin and Six Flags will not be responsible
for lost student cell phones.
► The buses will not remain at Six Flags—they will drop us off & return later to pick us up.
Therefore, we will not be able to leave any belongings on the bus. Everything students bring must be
carried with them throughout the entire day.
What to Wear:
► Students and chaperones should wear comfortable clothing (especially comfortable shoes) suitable for
the weather. (Consider wearing layers for air-conditioned shows, etc.) Sunblock is also advised.
► Students still must follow the Godwin dress code, with the exception that hats and sunglasses will be
permitted. (Any personal items are the sole responsibility of the student; Godwin MS and Six Flags
will not be held responsible for the loss, theft or damage of any personal items.) STUDENTS MUST
STAY WITH THEIR ASSIGNED GROUP THE ENTIRE DAY.
► The Water Park will be off-limits to Godwin students; therefore, bathing suits, towels, etc. are
NOT to be brought (or worn).
► Any student who fails to meet the Godwin MS dress code on the day of the trip will NOT be
permitted to attend. (The student will be left at Godwin MS and parents will be called to either pick
up the child or bring appropriate clothes so the student may return to class.)
Chaperones:
► We would love to have as many chaperones as possible!! We estimate we will need 60 of them. If we
do not get enough chaperones; we will have to cancel the trip.
► The cost for each chaperone will be $35.00
► Chaperones will be responsible for a group of students and must be an adult family member
of a Godwin student and age 25+.
► Parents with more than one Godwin student must choose which grade level they wish to chaperone.
Groups are organized by grade level and type of rides the children enjoy.

permitted to attend this trip.
Student Agreement/Information
While participating on this field trip, I will accept responsibility for maintaining good conduct and appearance, and I will
follow directions at all times, as well as all Godwin Middle School, PWCS and Six Flags rules, regulations and policies,
including the school dress code. I understand the Water Park is off-limits, and I will stay with my group and
cooperatively follow any directions of my chaperone.

Godwin Middle cannot provide refunds. No monies will be refunded if you decide not to go on the
field trip.
