Netiquette is short for digital
etiquette, and is a set of rules for
chatting on the internet, blogs, and
emails. The rules are:
• Don’t use capital letters. It makes it
seem like you’re screaming!
• Treat people the way you would in
real life. Reread your messages
before you press send, and use
proper grammar if you are talking to
people you respect.
By,
Ainsley W. and Abby W.
Examples of improper Netiquette:
judeblue123 asks: A person
sent me a message in all capital letters. What do I do?
theduo1920 answers: Sometimes people use all capital
letters. The best thing to do is to just ask them what they
mean. They could be yelling at you or they could just be
excited.
Elliepast147 asks: A person sent me a message with
incorrect grammar and numbers instead of words.
What should I do? theduo1920 answers: That happens
a lot. If it’s someone you know well, don’t mind. If it’s
someone you don’t know, ask them to use proper
grammar.
Thecoolpeople asks: Where is a great place to learn
more rules? theduo1920 answers: Click on the blue
highlighted Netiquette to go to a great website!

What I Learned
We know that cyber
bullying is when you
bully someone
online. It can be
very hurtful to the
person that is
getting bullied.
We want to find the
most common site
where cyber bullying
occurs, and find the
most effective way to
stop it.
We learned that
getting the word
out about how
bad cyber
bullying is today
can stop cyber
bullies.
