To be considered a Junior (11th Grader), a student must earn 12 Credits. To be considered a Senior (12th Grader), you must earn 20 Credits. (Average 90 for all classes, not each class) Eight of a student’s core classes must also be designated as Accelerated, Honors, Pre-AP, or AP. Creating Your IGP • All Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will have an Individual Graduation Plan (IGP). • The IGP’s will outline what students have taken (both credits earned and classes failed), the classes they are currently taking, as well as what they will need to take in order to graduate. • The IGP’s are very easy to use Excel documents. will be your responsibility to keep them up to date. All math, science, and foreign language classes offered at SHS are considered “rigorous” by the state of Georgia’s HOPE requirements. To qualify for the Zell Miller scholarship, a student must: Meet all of the requirements above Must be their high school’s valedictorian or salutatorian, OR earn a 3.7 high school GPA or higher and post, in one sitting, an SAT combined score of 1200 or higher in math and reading or an ACT score of 26 or higher.
