ONLINE READING RECORDING AND PEER EVALUATION
A. Recording and uploading your reading of the passage
1. Go to http://vocaroo.com
2. Record your reading of the passage assigned to you. You may make as many
attempts as you wish by clicking on ‘Listen’ and ‘Retry’ until you are satisfied
with the recorded version.
3. Click on ‘ click here to save’
4. Click on ‘download as mp3’.
5. Save the file using your name and the passage number eg. ‘Amy_Passage 4’
6. Login to http://cchms-english-2014-4cr.wikispaces.com/
7. Click on the ‘Reading’ page.
8. Click on ‘edit’.
9. Position your cursor below your name.
10. Click on the icon ‘Insert Images and Files’ at the top toolbar.
11. Upload your mp3 file.
12. Click on ‘save’ in the edit page.
13. Ensure that you have uploaded your recording by Friday, 11 July 2013.
B. Peer Evaluation of the reading recording
1. You are to evaluate the 3 students whose register numbers are immediately
after yours.
2. Between Saturday, 12 July 2014 and Tuesday, 15 July 2014, login to
http://cchms-english-2014-4cr.wikispaces.com/
3. Click on the ‘Reading’ page.
4. Click on the play button of the mp3 file below the name of the student you are
evaluating. Wait for 1-2 minutes for buffering time for the file to load.
5. Listen to the recording and decide on the score out of 10 based on the oral
marking rubric found at the beginning of the ‘Reading’ page.
6. Click on ‘edit’.
7. Position your cursor below the name of the student you are evaluating and
key in the score, your name in brackets and your comments on a strength and
area for improvement.
8. After 3 students have evaluated your reading recording, the ‘Reading’ page
should appear as follows:

9. Ensure that you complete the evaluation by Tuesday, 15 July 2014.
