Paper Ball Cell Directions: You will be working on your own to complete this assignment. You are going to create a 12 sided paper ball that has the organelles of the cell on each side. You can choose a plant or an animal cell. You must include the following to receive full credit for this activity. Requirements: 1. 2. 3. 4. Each side of the paper ball will contain one or more organelles (listed below according to number). Each side of the ball will contain: • The reference number listed below AND YOUR NAME(S) AND PERIOD NUMBER SHOULD BE LISTED ON THE #1 PANEL. • A hand-drawn picture of the organelle with individual labels for specific parts of the organelle • The complete description of the function of the organelle The tabs of the organelle are to be colored corresponding to the type of cell you choose. Tabs for plant cells will be green and tabs for animal cells will be red. The ball must be put together neatly following the appropriate instructions and done in the time allotted. Organelle Requirements for Each Cell Type (each number represents a side): Plant Cell 1. Cell wall 2. Cell membrane 3. Chloroplast 4. Golgi apparatus and Vesicle 5. Central Vacuole 6. Nucleus (including nuclear envelope, nuclear pore, chromosomes, and nucleolus – all labeled and defined) 7. Mitochondria 8. Cytoskeleton 9. Smooth Endroplasmic Reticulum 10. Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum 11. Lysosome 12. Peroxisome Animal Cell 1. Cell membrane 2. Nucleus (including nuclear envelope, nuclear pore, chromosomes, and nucleolus – all labeled and defined) 3.
