Upon completion of this Cosmetology Learning Module, the student will be able
to describe the various types of cosmetics and their uses; demonstrate an understanding
of cosmetic color theory; perform a consultation for the basic makeup procedure for any
occasion; understand the use of special-occasion makeup; identify different facial types
and demonstrate procedures for basic corrective makeup; demonstrate the application
and removal of artificial eyelashes, with 77% accuracy, using the time necessary for the
individual student's own learning pace. No written test will be given upon completion of
this Cosmetology Learning Module.

Must complete one (1) of the following projects.
14. Draw 3 charts showing the different facial cosmetics, where they are applied,
and how they are used for: daytime makeup, evening makeup and special
occasion makeup. The chart must be at least 11" x 13" encompassing 90%
of the paper.
15. Write an article review on corrective makeup.
16. Give a PowerPoint presentation to the class demonstrating the different facial
cosmetics and their uses for: daytime makeup, evening makeup, and special
occasion makeup. The presentation must be 10 - 15 minutes in length
including an introduction and conclusion.

17. Pick 5 facial cosmetics (not skin care), research and list their ingredients.
Write a paper on what the ingredients are, how does the skin benefit from
having these cosmetics on it, and is it hurting the skin at all? The paper must
double-spaced, typed or printed (not cursive) neatly. At least three (3)
different resources must be utilized and a list of resource attached using
Citation Machine for formatting.
