illuminated edition
of Chaucer’s The

is the Ellesmere
manuscript which
can currently be
seen at the
Huntington Library
and Art Gallery in
San Marino,
California.
This lesson correlates with
Tennessee State Standards
on reading at the 12th
grade level (specifically
standards 2.02, 2.03, 2.04,
2.07, 2.08, 2.09, 2.11, 2.12,
and 2.15).
