This article shows women’s position in ancient Greek myths. Leffkowitz shows different myths and how women are portrayed in all of them. This shows that women are not just servants and somewhat slaves of their husbands. Although at the same time they don’t have many rights and this tends to be a chore. This was published by the Archeological Institute of America and is a scholarly source. This will allow me to show another side to women in Greek culture. This also shows how women are viewed in “Medea”. We see how they have few rightsand are held at a lower level than men. Williamson is a credible author and gives a well written view of this topic. I’ll use this to show how the story portrays Greek women.
