Spiritual Warfare: a struggle between God and Satan (many
scales, cosmic in scope, individual actions, effects).
Spirit: unbodily, personal power.
Angel: spirit from the Lord, messenger, under authority.
Demon: spirit from Satan, tasks, under authority.
Satan: the chief opponent, the anti-God power, the chief
fallen angel, the serpent.
Epistemology: how do we know what is true?
Ontology: what is real? (what exists?)
Teleology: issues of causality (design and purpose).
Temptation: the luring of humans to will or surrender to
sinful actions or thoughts.









cherished aspects of a place

parent was a god and whose other parent was
human.

What is sin like?

One cannot define sin apart from God
Sin is any act that displeases God
Sin is an entity/entities
A dismissal of/justification of itself
What do we do about it?




Life always depends on the cross
All about repentance
Confess
Surrender












Demons can altar the way we think about things.
Just because I am a Christian does not mean I am free from
evil spirits.
Demons are working together.
Demons use other people to work against you.
Demons keep things out.
Duty comes before pleasure for demons.
Demons are strategic.
Their weapon is contented worldliness.
Know that there are demons around.
The safest road to Hell is the gradual one.
Demons want to keep us safe if we are not on their side yet.
Demons like peace.


Two strategies of Evil:






Syncretism: Blending of culture and Religion
Art and Religious Culture: sin with images scare people from hell and help deal with
fear.
When you deviate from scripture, all you have is images.
Hindrances of repentance:





Demons are everywhere
There are no demons
Too cool
Conscious (hardened heart)
Blame shifting
Do not know how
Deliverance of someone with an Evil spirit






Avoid Spectrums
Do it with a team
Need rest
Bless them
Prepare
The person has to want to get rid of the spirit

Ephesians 6:10-18 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty
power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your
stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against
flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual
forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full
armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be
able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to
stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your
waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with
your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of
peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with
which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all
kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and
always keep on praying for all the saints”.



Surround yourself with other believers
Confess your sins

Ask for wisdom
Test the spirits















Sensuality is the fast road to idolatry
