Welcome to NURS 1861 Foundations in Nursing, Spring Semester, 2015 TRADITIONAL Welcome to our program and to our Fundamentals Course! We are so happy you’re here and we’re looking forward to a semester of great learning together to help get you started on your new career in nursing! In order to start the new semester on the right track, please note the following information: The initial Lecture will be on Monday, January 12th, 2015. It will be held in Franklin 104. Note: We will be in Franklin 104 only. It will start promptly at 8:00am and will end at 11:00am. Parking can be a problem the first few weeks, so come early. If parking is tight, Lots 32-S. 30-S, 31-S that are next to Jefferson Street, Spring Street, and Washington Street, east or behind the parking garage are usually more available. To view them on a map, go to the CSCC home page, Campus Life, Parking. Seminar to follow from 12PM-2PM or 2PM-4PM, depending on the time in which you are registered. Labs are ALL on Wednesday, both morning and afternoon. If you have a Tuesday clinical, you will be more likely to be in a morning lab. If you are in a Wednesday clinical, you will be in the 2-4 PM lab. Please be prompt for all classes. Late arrivals may be counted as an absence. School uniform is required for clinical only. You do not need it for classes on campus this semester, including the entirety of week one. ATI bundle is required. It must be obtained from the Discovery Center (bookstore). Save the code that is in this box. You will need it for setting up your account for the entire program. If there is no code in the box, please keep your receipt. You will have to return the bookstore for another box. Please get onto the ATI package as soon as possible and bring your user ID and your individual code to the first seminar. Note: This is earlier than previously announced. ATI is so important for your learning, we wanted to start it earlier. Please bring your Cougar ID. Use the magnetic name tag for lab and seminar. Please check on blackboard prior to the first day to note any changes that might be made to the above schedule. We will post an announcement IF something changes.
