(singing, bring props to act out story, consider your setting) With younger children, encourage parents to participate 30-45 minutes “Put It Into Action” – do something together (encourage another project at home) Implementation If you’re used to planning 4-6 weeks for God and Me, God and Family – continue that format and do 2 patches (6 Bible stories) Special emphasis one month – read a story a week, and then present patches the 4th week Weekend campout – read a story Friday, Saturday and Sunday; present the patch Implementation Outreach emphasis Supplement your Sunday school programs or children’s or youth ministry programs Use patches to help connect your congregation with the different “outside” groups meeting in your church Family ministry and mentoring opportunities Implementation Challenge older youth to lead the Bible lessons “Relaxed” series – there isn’t a “right” way to do the patch; engaging young people and families in scripture is our goal Rotation of patches and P.R.A.Y. Patch Sponsors Looking for Sponsors Who Want to: -Share their love of the Bible, reach out to children, youth, families, Sunday school classes, and Scout groups, and support the P.R.A.Y. ministry -Make a donation of $1,000 (helps provide for curriculum development, proofing and editing, layout and design, startup inventory, and other costs associated with creating a patch) -Allow their name/group name to appear on the patch handout so that future users will know of the grassroots support for this Bible project Sponsorships Sponsors may be an individual or a group (i.e. a family, scout troop, church, youth group, etc.). The name of the individual or group will be printed on the patch handout. Sponsors will also be acknowledged in the P.R.A.Y. Annual Report.
