They said, " Barabbas!"22 Pilate said to them, " What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?"They all said to him, "Let Him be crucified!"23 Then the governor said, " Why, what evil has He done?"But they cried out all the more, saying, "Let Him be crucified!" Before Pilate & the People for the 2nd time. 24 When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it."25 And all the people answered and said, "His blood be on us and on our children.“ Matthew 27:15-25 Before Pilate & the People for the 2nd time. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."38 Pilate said to Him, " What is truth?" And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, " I find no fault in Him at all. John 18:37-38 Conclusion 1. We know that the trial of Christ had to lead to the death of Christ, as this was the Father’s will (Isaiah 53). 2. Isn’t it interesting all the things that still took place in order for an innocent man to die, for the whole world.
