COURSE DESCRIPTION
Introduction to the cell structure and function, intracellular compartmentalization, cell division,
nucleic acid and protein structure, protein assembly, modification and trafficking, cell to cell
communication
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the course are to make a detailed study on Chemical Components of Cells ,
Energy, Catalysis, and Biosynthesis, the structure and function of the plasma membrane,
cytoskeleton, mitochondrion, chloroplast, proteins and DNA, the cell interaction with its
environment, and cytoplasmic membrane systems.
