Thank you for auditioning for Odessa’s Got Talent!
Your audition fee is $15 per individual entry, $25 for
groups of 2 or more,
payable at the time of your audition.
Make sure you don’t leave without leaving your
size for your Odessa’s Got Talent T-shirt as well as
leaving a contact email and/or phone number.
AUDITIONS WILL TAKE PLACE THURSDAY, AUGUST 28
FROM 5:00-8:00 PM IN THE OHS AUDITORIUM.
When it is your turn to perform, we will call your name.
Please come to the stage and prepare to perform as quickly as possible. We will ask when you are ready, or you
can let us know and then you can begin your talent! Please remember that performances need to BE UNDER 3
minutes. We may be short on time during auditions because of the multitude of talented people in the Odessa
area, so if you exceed the limit, we may cut you short while you are performing. THIS DOES NOT INDICATE
ANYTHING ABOUT WHETHER YOU HAVE MADE IT TO THE FINALS OR NOT! It just means we feel that we have seen
enough of your talent to determine whether you have made it or not.
The finalists for Odessa’s Got Talent will be posted on the auditorium doors and on the Odessa website
(www.odessa.k12.mo.us, High School Activities and Athletics, Performing Arts ) on Tuesday, August 2 by 4:00
pm. Finalists will be competing on Saturday, September 27 at a performance open to the community (tickets
are $5 in advance, $6 at the door) for trophies and cash prizes. An “audience favorite” prize will also be
awarded.
ADULT (14 AND OLDER): $100 1ST PLACE, $50 2ND PLACE, $25 3RD PLACE
CHILDREN (13 AND UNDER): $100 1ST PLACE, $50 2ND PLACE, $25 3RD PLACE
AUDIENCE AWARD: $25
Unfortunately, we do not have time to showcase all of Odessa’s talented people. If you are NOT listed as a finalist,
you will receive one (1) free ticket PER ENTRANT and reserved front-row seating at Odessa’s Got Talent. You do
not need to do anything to receive your ticket or seating; both will be reserved under your name the night of the
show. We would love it if you wore your t-shirt that night, but it is not required—nor is attendance.
Your t-shirts will be available for pickup the evening of the show beginning at 5:00 pm in the OHS Library.
If you ARE listed as a finalist, you will need to arrive for the show by 5:00 on Saturday, September 71 for sound
checks. This will allow you time to prepare/change in time for the show at 7:00 pm. Contact Sarah Renfrow at
