I have set everyone’s default student screen to quicklookup. 3) Display Section Number. All are selfexplanatory. If you have questions, let me know. There are many things you can do in PowerTeacher, most of which I will let you figure out for yourself. Attendance Green Dot Attendance Student Info Print Reports Green Dot Attendance – once you take attendance for a period, the dot changes to green color. This instruction sheet is going to show you Attendance and Print Reports. Click on the attendance icon. (the attendance icons will not be available until after school starts 8/15/11) Attendance Screen in PST Select the attendance code you wish, then click in the box beside the student name that corresponds with each attendance code. Click Submit. The table below shows cumulative absences and tardies. This is a picture of the old page. The new page will be almost identical. Input is still the same. Print Reports Icon The reports icon in the row beside the specific class will give you ONLY those students enrolled in that class. This reports icon will give you ALL students in ALL classes. Use this wisely. These are a few generic reports that I have created in PS. You can play with them and see if any of them serve your needs. These reports do NOT bring in any grades from the gradebook. If there is a letter or progress report that I can build and that is beneficial for all teachers, I will create it and put it in here for all to use. Just let me know of any suggestions you might have. Notes: 1. Please remember that beginning in the 12-13 school year semester 1, there is a term that is holding the Exam grade (for High School). The term is called E1 and the will be available to you in the final grade setup in your gradebook. All Exam grades must have a due date within the specific date range. Grades that count in the Quarter 2 term must have a due date within the range showing in Final grade setup in gradebook. 2. Once grades are stored, they become the permanent record and if you make a change in your gradebook that affects any term grade, the change must go through the Registrar. If the final grade at the time of stored grades was a 89-B and then 3 days later you take a paper that changes this grade to a 92-A, that change will not be reflected on the student’s permanent record until changed by the Registrar.
