NRC Development Program
Ford Credit National Recovery Center (NRC) – Mesa, AZ
The NRC Development Program intends to provide the participant a solid developmental foundation to
prepare them for a supervisory level assignment. The incumbent would be on an accelerated (18 to 24
months) development path to a leadership position as an NRC Performance Analyst, Project Manager or
Team Leader (TL). In the event there are no open Leadership positions available at the time the
participant completes the program they may be considered for the next available Leadership position.
Every assignment is a chance for the incumbent to grow and apply what they know. As part of the NRC
Development Program, the incumbent will transition through a number of career-development
opportunities.

Skills Required:
 Recent (Within last 12 months) College Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related
field and a minimum GPA of 3.0
 Strong Microsoft Office skills required with a demonstrated mastery of Excel

Descriptors of the Job:
 Learn the fundamentals of being an effective supervisor by:
o Managing employee attendance/schedule adherence
o Monitoring employee performance and quality
o Coaching/Counseling, Developing employees
 Gain awareness of Account Service and Vehicle Liquidation activities
 Learn company processes and quality tools
 Develop emphasis on financial performance tracking by:
o Highlighting trends and producing in-depth analysis of all recovery channels to further
analyze identified trends as requested by management. This analysis is often presented and
explained to not only management, but also to firms and agencies in conference calls or oneon-one meetings.
o Updating, enhancing and analyzing monthly and quarterly attorney and agency reports and
databases including liquidation graphs, fee, share, placement and inventory reports,
scorecards, letters and management reports.
o Distributing and/or reviewing reporting with management.
o Developing, enhancing and maintaining forecasting models for recoveries to support
corporate forecasts.
o Communicating via email or phone with firm and agency principals, operation managers, and
IT staff to discuss performance and resolve any reporting issues or recovery discrepancies.
 Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in interactions with internal and external customers.
 Utilize structured approach (6-Sigma Tools) to drive performance and efficiencies
Description of the Environment:











NRC is a professional office environment and professional behavior is expected (dress, hours,
etiquette, etc.)
Unacceptable attendance can impact promotions and compensation and can result in disciplinary
action up to and including termination
The demand of work relies on a business cycle. As delinquencies increase (often with downturns
in the economy) business increases. Flexibility is required as business conditions change
Fast paced; volume variations can be daily or seasonal
May be changes to work schedule based upon business requirements (i.e. OT, hours/days of
operation, etc.). You may not get to choose your business hours (e.g., overtime is required during
high volume periods)
While career progression is possible for top performers, it will happen when there is a business
need and is based on performance and One Ford behaviors.

Based on business needs, there may be different requirements and guidelines for different
departments. If your position within the NRC changes, the hours and position requirements may
change as well.

time are monitored
