Description and purpose of the course: The main objective of the discipline "International Insurance" is the feature content and the main directions of the course are knowledge of the basic principles of insurance; personal insurance; liability insurance; provision of land transport; risk insurance in entrepreneurial activity; indirect insurance (reinsurance); international security. This course is given after students' studying economic theories and doctrines, microeconomics, macroeconomics , public Finance, Fundamentals of the accounting, financial Accounting and management. The course "International Insurance" is a compulsory subject of specialization. The goal and objectives of the course: As a result of studying of this course, future specialists must have knowledge in insurance field. The established objectives can be achieved through the following tasks: - Recognition of the importance of insurance for individuals or entities; - Knowledge of the methods and principles of insurance; - Development of practical skills which are necessary for the insurance contract, the charging principles for granting insurance compensation, the knowledge in insurance domain. Epistemological skills: After studying of this course, the students will have to: - Identify the main features of insurance; - Know the technical elements of insurance and their classification; - To list the indicators that are stipulated in the insurance contract; - Determine compensation insurance under existing insurance principles; - Explain the peculiarities of legal issues in insurance regulation. Research skills: Having accumulated theoretical and practical knowledge students must: - To estimate the level (satisfactory or unsatisfactory) of risk production in insurance field; - Be able to select the main positive and negative moments encountered in the award of damages or amounts of insurance; - Be able to propose suggestions for the elimination of the shortcomings identified and to improve the situation; - Be able to coordinate with the leadership by recommending his proposals and suggestions related to improving the financial situation of insurance companies.
