Fee In Lieu It is actually a fee in lieu of ad valorem taxes in the amount of 1/3 of the value of the ad valorem tax. Fee in Lieu was charged in effort to attract industry to the Golden Triangle area. The fee in lieu is paid for 10 years and then it rolls off as the industry begins to pay its’ ad valorem tax. We currently receive over $6,000,000 in fee in lieu. This will continue to roll off and become $18,000,000 in ad valorem dollars. This will be a net increase of $12,000,000 in ad valorem tax over the next 6 years. May 12, 2015 This presentation was created with my MAC using Keynotes
