1. What are the five stocks you picked? Write the names in Column A and the ticker
symbols in Column B
2. What are their prices? Write the price of each stock in Column C
3. How many shares did you buy? Write the number of shares in D
4. What is the total value of that stock in your portfolio? For each stock, multiply the price
(Column C) by the number of shares (Column D), and write your answer in Column E
5. What is the total value of your portfolio? Add the total values of your individual holdings
(all numbers in Column E) and write the total in cell E7
6. What percentage of your portfolio is each stock/company you own? Value of the
company you hold, divided by the total value of your portfolio (E7)
Note: this will be a decimal; multiply it by 100 to get a percentage number
7. Calculating performance: the formula is (last price-first price) / first price
a. What is the new price of your stock? ________

e. Multiply d. by 100 – this is the percentage change in the price of your stock
i. You can also do this for your entire portfolio to determine the change in
