SAILING AT LLANDEGFEDD
GENERAL INFORMATION
Llandegfedd provides one of the most important and
challenging sites for inland sailing in this area of the
country. Sailing at the reservoir is provided for the
public on a day and season basis. It is essential that
a permit is obtained before you sail at the reservoir.
The sailing permit allows the named permit holder to
sail the boat/board specified at the Reservoir subject
to the sailing regulations. The same boat/board may
be sailed by the permit holder’s family and friends.
The use of the boat/board at the reservoir is the
responsibility of the permit holder. The Company
reserves the right to withdraw any permit in the event
of contravention of the regulations.
Boat Season permit holders are allocated a berth in
the dinghy park where they may store their boats
during the sailing season only. Sailboard storage id
not permitted on site.
It is inevitable that the water levels of the reservoir
will fluctuate throughout the sailing season. This is a
feature of reservoir sailing that must be accepted.
During periods of low water level, boats may be kept
temporarily between the slipways near the water’s
edge by agreement with the duty Ranger and at the
customers own risk.
Sailing Season
1st March until 31st October, 9.00am to 9.00pm or
sunset whichever is the earlier. Permit holders must
check with the duty Ranger the time the water must
be cleared of sailing craft.
Racing
Sailing races usually organised by Llandegfedd Sailing
Club are held regularly throughout the season.
GENERAL REGULATIONS

the water whilst sailing.
