Use same font
Replace the word “Camp” with “Retreats” at very top

Of the 3 boxes going down the right eliminate the top and bottom keeping the virtual map
only. Leave it vertically where it is if that is easy enough to do.
Of the 3 middle lines of text in that box remove the word “camp” from the top line
Substitute from last of the 3 lines the word “camp” with “retreats”
We will need at least 3 pictures here so we need placeholders for these somewhere –
 Wedding or celebration pic
 Meeting pic
 School group pic

Location
I’d go with your present directions page off your contact us link with the following alterations:
http://www.indianhead.com/contact-directions.php
I’d back out your map about 6 iterations. I need NY, Binghamton and Scranton in view. See below:
Let’s lose the 3 boxes on the right and the tent pic and go with a map as close to these geographic
parameters as possible.
Let’s put camp logo on the map where the A is. If logo is same color let’s change logo color or
maybe put it in a box with a border color – whatever you think best.
Below map will be the directions from website. To the right of “From the NY metro area” will be:
From Philadelphia, Delaware & parts of South Jersey
From Scranton & Wilkes Barre
From Binghamton
Clicking on any of these the directions will come up or it can be a pdf – whatever is easiest.
FROM THE PHILADELPHIA, DELAWARE, AND PARTS OF SOUTH JERSEY AREA : Take the
Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and get off at Exit 115. Get onto Interstate 81 North
and when you get between exits 186 and 187 look for signs that state EAST 6 Carbondale. There will be
three of those signs. Get onto EAST 6 Carbondale, and go for about 26 miles into Honesdale, PA. At
the traffic light in Honesdale, take a left hand turn, onto Route 191 North. Proceed 18 miles, Indian
Head Retreats Guest Parking will be on your right hand side.

DIRECTIONS FROM SCRANTON / WILKES-BARRE AREA : Take Interstate 81 North to Scranton and
when you get between exits 186 and 187 look for signs that state EAST 6 Carbondale. There will be
three of those signs. Get onto EAST 6 Carbondale, and go for about 26 miles into Honesdale, PA. At

Head Retreats Guest Parking will be on your right hand side.
FROM BINGHAMTON, NY AREA : Take Route 17 East to the Hancock, New York Exit (exit 87). At the
stop sign take a left and proceed until you come to a McDonald's and take a right. Go about 1/4 mile and
take a right onto Route 191 SOUTH. Cross the Delaware River and go about 15 miles, Indian Head
Retreats Guest Parking will be on your left.
Somewhere we wish to indicate:
Scranton, Binghampton and Newburgh airports all about one hour by car. Wherever you think
best?

FAQs
Where are you located?
Indian Head Retreats is located in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania, nestled in the beautiful Endless
Mountains. Indian Head Retreats is 17 miles north of Honesdale, Pennsylvania and approximately 2
hours from New York City by car and 2 ½ hours from Philadelphia. More area information can be
found at www.waynecountycc.com
What dates are available?
We are available from the beginning of May until the middle of June and then again from the middle of August
until the end of October.
How many people can you accommodate?
We can sleep up to 500 guests in a mixture of private and communal accommodations. ( this
underline is a link to accommodations page- not in this document)
Q. Are bedding and towels included?
A. No, we do not supply linens, pillows, blankets, or towels. Most groups elect to bring their own.
We recommend bringing a fitted sheet and a sleeping bag or blanket, at least one bath towel and
and a pillow. Linen rentals can be pre-arranged. We are able maid service on request.
------------Q. What is the food like? Can we have a special menu or meal?
A. Our food is healthy and generous and is served buffet or family-style in most cases. There is
always a vegetarian option at each meal. We are happy to help design a custom menu to meet your
specific needs, be it to meet a dietary concern or a special party or event. We capably
accommodate vegetarian-only groups, groups that request specific ethnic foods, or groups that
elect a very upscale menu for a party. We enjoy doing cookouts, barbecues, picnics, campfires, and
other creative food experiences in fun venues. Our sample menus give a sense of what we do but
are quite flexible to meet any special dietary needs or constraint. (sample menus are a link to food
page – which is not in this document)
Q. Will my group have exclusive use of the property or will other groups share the property
with us?
A. Exclusivity depends of the size and nature of your group, and the dates you elect. If your
group is large enough to fill many of our bed spaces then you have the property to
yourselves. If you choose dates when there are no other groups scheduled you might then
have sole use of the property... but in this case we do not guarantee exclusive use. Smaller
groups that require exclusivity may be accommodated but will incur an additional fee to
guarantee this.
From this map you can see our property is extensive and multiple groups are easy to
spread out. (Map is link to our main map and this link should go completely through to the
map) Weddings or other such large parties are presumed to require “the run of the place.”
5
Q. What is involved if we would like to do a ropes course or another organized
activity?
A. We have experienced and certified staff at every activity that are capable of both
expertly running program and or supervising your group – adults or children. Many of our
activities you may elect to do on your own and we just provide the facilities and equipment
as needed. As with most details we are happy to accommodate based on your needs and
wants.
Q. Do you provide facilitators for team-building activities?
A. Yes and these leaders are certified, highly-trained and very experienced. We pride ourselves on
a level of expertise here second to none with groups of all ages, backgrounds and sizes. We also
provide a very dynamic and creative program so returning groups need not go through the same
program every year.
Q. Can you provide supervision for children?
A. Yes but as with all details advanced notice is greatly appreciated so we can provide adequate
staff.
Where is the nearest medical facility?
Wayne County Memorial Hospital is located 25 minutes away, in Honesdale.
Q. Are pets permitted?
A. In certain cases pets might be permitted, depending on your group. Please contact us to inquire.

---------------Weddings & Celebrations
We have been delighted over the years to host a variety of functions often for the
Indian Head Camp community. Many of our alumni are looking for an unusual venue that they
already “connect with” and where they feel comfortable and nostalgic. They are amazed to rediscover a place that has over the years changed in terms of offering state of the art facilities but
never losing the intimate feel they remember and value.
We have hosted and can host:
*Weddings
*Confirmation parties
*Birthdays
*Bar Mitzvahs
*Family Reunions
*Quinceaneras
Our advantage is our multiple venues - indoor, outdoor and private lakeside- that let you pick the
sites of your choosing. You can also designate multiple settings for your celebration and have a
variety to choose from. This diversity and choice makes your destination event memorable and
also means inclement weather is not a concern.
Your guests can easily make their way from a ceremony at, or overlooking, our private lake into
our lodge overlooking the lake that comfortably seats 250+ allowing space for dancing or 350
without allowing this space for a reception.

level of supervision for kids and at activity sites you require.
