Tom directs two primary
centers for residential
substance abuse services for
adults / adolescents,
including piloting an
advocacy model for the
substance user, their family,
the community + the provider
network to improve best
practices. Recently appointed
as a CARF Program Surveyor,
Tom reviews service
providers in process of
meeting stringent clinical
accreditation requirements.
Sharon Chandler, BA, CIT

Ruston Addictive Disorder Clinic, Ruston, Louisiana
Sharon manages an outpatient
clinic providing treatment,
prevention, education,
assessment + referral services
for individuals suffering from
drug and alcohol addiction. The
clinic provides individual + group
counseling services to adults and
adolescents. It is responsible for
Drug Court assessments, staffing
and counseling for two parishes
in north central Louisiana. It
educates and provides
supportive services for adult
family and friends of addicts, as
well as their children.

Over his career, Randy has
served in a variety of direct
service and supervisory
positions including as Clinical
Administrator of Criminal Justice
Services for at Act Corporation,
a community mental health
center. As Executive Director, he
oversees a comprehensive
substance abuse / mental health
organization specializing in
services to the homeless,
veterans with post-traumatic
stress disorder and the dually
diagnosed.

Anna is the Addictions
Coordinator at a private,
non-profit FQHC . She is
responsible for the day-today operations of CBHS’
intensive outpatient

As Program Director, Kim

Dana P. Glass, LCSW

In her dual Director roles, Dana
assists women and their families
who are in need of services
stemming from an addiction to
alcohol and/or drugs. The
program incorporates the latest
research based principles of
addiction treatment. Due to its
success, she is currently seeking
to implement these practices in a
true outpatient setting in an
effort to develop a program that
is quality-driven, customercentered, and outcome-focused.
Jim Gouveia, LCSW, ACSW
CSAT Travel Award
Benton County Health Dept, Corvallis, Oregon
Jim works with an incredible team
of professionals to provide
comprehensive alcohol and other
drug treatment through several
programs: Drug Treatment Court
for both adults and adolescents,
Corrections Parole & Probation,
and Adult Outpatient. In addition,
he manages a wraparound mental
health program for youth and
families, experiencing mental
health issues to help maintain
youth in their families, schools, and
communities. Jim also is adjunct
faculty at Oregon State University
in the Masters of Counseling
Program.

at John F. Kennedy University.

As the Developer, Administrator
and Clinical Director, Ingrid
assists adults who have
substance abuse-dependence
and / or co-occurring diagnoses
to build a foundation for lifetime
recovery. Through a curriculumbased program which
incorporates evidence-based
practices, her goal is to provide
consistency, acceptance, and
encouragement. She also serves
as the agency’s Quality
Improvement Coordinator and
Clinical Internship Supervisor.

Wilfred’s research interests
include family + mental health
factors associated with HIV
risk behaviors among Latinos
substance abusers, and factors
associated with residential
treatment drop-out + relapse
rates among Latina/os in a
culturally focused treatment
setting. In addition, he
facilitates implementation
issues of evidence-based
treatment practices in Latino
focused programs.

Nancy’s current focus is on the
treatment of women substance
abusers with a combination of
clinical, research and public
policy. She directs a women’s
substance abuse treatment
program + is a therapist /
consultant in a women in
recovery parenting study. In
addition, she lends her expertise
to Connecticut ‘s Department of
Mental Health and Addiction
Services guide team and best
practices committee that is
developing the standards for
women’s substance abuse
treatment across the state.

Dick serves as primary
administrative and clinical
supervisor of the substance
abuse services for a 9-county
community mental health
agency. He supervises 5 site
administrators and their staff
in the provision of addiction

administrative & management
team who plans and develops
evidenced based programs
for the provision of quality
intervention services.

In her dual director roles, Lynn
oversees treatment and clinical
supervision at the Charleston
Center - the County alcohol and
drug abuse commission
responsible for providing detox,
co-ed and women specific
inpatient, day treatment, co-ed,
women + adolescent specific IOP,
outpatient, intensive family
services and therapeutic child
treatment. Lynn is a regional
trainer for Motivational
Interviewing, national trainer for
art therapy + addictions, and
recently published an AITP
curriculum for SC DAODAS.

change. He recently coauthored “Taking Charge” A
Guide to Evidence Based
Treatment for Youth in a System
of Care.
