STAR Events and FSCA’s!
• IMPORTANT: It is MANDATORY that you go talk to
Mrs. MARTIN after this meeting if you plan to or
want to compete with a STAR event or an FSCA.
• The last day to tell Mrs. Taylor how you plan to
compete is October 24th!
• We are having a workshop to help those who are
doing a STAR event/FSCA/Power of One on the
first Friday of every month from 2:30-4:30.
• Please go see Mrs. MARTIN after this meeting to
learn more and/or to sign up to compete!

• Bronco Fest is on Wednesday the 24th from 6:007:15.
• If you would like to help us set up from 3:30-5:30,
please sign up!
• We will have two parking spots – one for our
fishing game and the other for an information
booth to sell our bracelets (which will be
elaborated on in a moment).
• We will have sign-ups for both setting everything
up and cleaning up afterward! We need all the
help we can get!
Fundraising Update!
• We will be selling bracelets this year to help
fundraise for our chapter!
• Each student is required to sell a minimum of 25
bracelets. They sell best when they are sold in
multiples (for example, three bracelets look
better than one when they’re being worn).
• This fundraiser will run from Bronco Fest
(September 24th) to October 3rd.
• If the fundraiser is successful, we will continue to
sell more!

President: “Members,
. FCCLA members, we are challenged to accept the
responsibility of making decisions that affect our lives today and the world tomorrow. Let us repeat
our Creed.”
Creed
"We are the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America
We face the future with warm courage and high hope.
For we have the clear consciousness of seeking old and precious values.
For we are the builders of homes. Homes for America's future,
Homes where living will be the expression of everything that is good and fair,
Homes were truth and love and security and faith will be realities, not dreams.
We are the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
We face the future with warm courage and high hope."
President: “This meeting of the McKinney Boyd Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of
America is now adjourned.” (Raps gavel.)
