We are seeking an innovative Consumer & Market Manager, based in Fredericia, responsible for product
development and go-to market strategy, for our client A. ESPERSEN A/S.

POSITION
With an analytic and research driven approach and in close cooperation with the sales team and customers
the Consumer & Market Manager (CMM) will, in a new and innovative way, design and implement our future
way of interacting and engaging with our customers.
The CMM will plan, direct and coordinate marketing policies and programs, such as ensure consumer and
market trend identification and based on this determe the demand for products and services - hereby also
identifying new potential customers. The CMM is responsible for driving product development according to
the strategy. The CMM reports to the Executive Vice President, COO.
The CMM is responsible for driving product planning, new product development and execution of strategic
product plans, as well as, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements - by defining the
product vision. The CMM is also working closely with sales and procurement to ensure that customer
satisfaction goals are met. The CMM drives the complete product lifecycle and product development
activities.
Key Responsibilities

Identify consumer and retailer trends and implications in key markets
Manage NPD portfolio (concepts vs. customer requirements) by market insights
Manage product portfolio
Leadership and team development
CANDIDATE
Professional qualifications
The Customer & Market Manager has a proven track record, preferably from an international organization,
of taking products from concept to market and managing the processes behind this effort. Including, but not
limited to: business case development, internal budget justifications, direct and intensive interactions with
procurement and sales for both new product development and new product introduction activities.
The CMM has the ability to approach and step up the partnership dialogue with existing customers as well
as potential and the experience to connect with market players, sales and production.
The CMM has extended knowledge of identifying market trends, conduct consumer research and
understand the implications and utilize these to drive the business forward in close cooperation with the
entire organization.
The CMM analyzes profitability of products, lines and services.
Personal qualifications



Leadership rather than management – good inter-personal skills
A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written, spoken) at all levels
Understanding where we come from and want to go
Other qualifications



Danish and English (written and spoken) and spoken possibly other languages as well
Ability to travel 50 days per year
