Directions:

1.

Everyone must track the stock price for United States Steel (X). You get to choose the other two from this list. a.

Burger King (BKW) b.

Ford Motor Co. (F) c.

Coach (COH) d.

Vera Bradley (VRA) e.

Dick’s Sporting Goods (DKS) f.

Coca Cola (KO) g.

Dunkin’ Brands (DNKN)

2.

Track the corporation’s CLOSING prices on the dates shown on the chart. To get an accurate closing price, check in the evening after the markets have closed (4:30pm ET).

3.

If you have a smartphone, it might help to find a free app that allows you to conveniently track the prices. The other simple method is to go to Google.com and simply type in the stock symbol which is in parentheses next to the corporation’s name.

4.

If you forget to check, fall behind, or choose to be the world’s biggest procrastinator, you can check the historical prices by going to http://www.finance.yahoo.com

, typing in the stock symbol in the search box, and clicking on the “Historical Prices” tab on the left. Use the column labeled “CLOSE.”

5.

Plot each stock price on the chart. Use a different color for each corporation. You can either use colored pencils or you can simply use black pen for one, blue pen for another, and pencil for the third. After you plot the prices,

USE A RULER OR STRAIGHT EDGE AND CONNECT THE DOTS. See my example. DO NOT USE RED!
