As an accomplished Senior Technology Executive with 24 years experience in my field and a
proven successful track record of achievements I am known in my industry for driving business
results through the delivery of exceptional services, the management of people and the focus on
the needs of those businesses. Historically in the positions of Senior Manager, Director, and more
recently self employed Consultant I have driven programmes by cutting through complex issues

Currently
Currently delivering a discovery phase (10 weeks) across the central functions and supply
chain which includes replenishment, forecasting, price and promotion, stock inventory, range
/ space and master data. This discovery phase is an assessment of the as-is state & maturity
of both current process and systems. The outcome is to deliver a business case which would
deliver both new systems, the cost of change, a plan and an IT transformation sequencing
roadmap to support the support the business case.
MAY 2014 – JUN 2015
Co-Operative Food – Programme Manager / Consultant (Stores)
My role was to lead a strategy review of their in-store systems across their 2800 food store
estate. This involved a review of the current IT systems architecture and business processes,
capturing requirements and current constraints, issues and highlighting new digital in-store
opportunities. Following the completion of the stores strategy, I performed a review and
alignment of the IT 2015 £32m programme portfolio against the new business needs and
strategy, aligning and prioritising the various project activities from dependency, cost,
architecture and resource availability.
JUL 2013 – MAY 2014
Accenture UK Ltd – Senior Manager Consultant Business Transformation Management
My role within was to provide a dual role between business and IT as part of the Senior
Management team. My main client was Argos which consisted of managing a large change
transformation programme delivering a digital transformation, embracing mobile adoption
and social media to revolutionise both their stores, head office and distribution centre to
enable a more customer centric operation Other clients included Vodafone and Imperial
Tobacco. Team size 120 onshore / offshore consultants, managing third parties in order to
deliver the technology change, with an overall budget of £86m.

J.Sainsburys PLC IT Senior Project Manager/Consultant – Supply Chain
My role within J Sainsbury’s was to provide a role of IT Senior Project Manager/Consultant
to deliver and shape project initiation. The requirements were to define / discovery so that
a project scope and vision could be identified supporting this projects benefits, commercials
and financials to secure funding for their non-food central replenishment and forecast project
within non-foods.

Home Retail Group - Business Change Consultant
My role within the Argos division of the Home Retail Group was to provide a dual role of
business consultant and project management to support the business transformation of
Argos within the warehouse and transport verticals of the business, with the objective of
simplification and improved service to the end customer.
MAR 2009 – FEB 2013
The Cooperative Group: Supply Chain, Logistics, Business & IS Consultant
Whilst working with the Co-Operative Group for four years, I undertook a number of projects
across the various verticals of the business in both a business and IT capacity, winning BT
awards for successful retail implementation in 2012. I was responsible for the largest change
programme undertaken by the business in recent years, following the acquisition of
Somerfield in 2009. Projects are as follows:

Following the successful delivery of the SMART programme, my role within the Co-Operative

Following an organisational restructure within the Co-Operative Group to align the food
business against a plan build and run model, my role was to develop and deploy a

Following the successful completion of the role as programme manager; my role was to
provide testing and quality assurance planning and methodology. My scope consisted of

Business/IT Consultant/Software Development Manager – Game PLC
My role within Game was to project manage a broad scope of ecommerce programme
initiatives providing the necessary framework to support further commercial growth. This
consisted of Software development delivered using an Agile Software Development
methodology, providing tactical multichannel ecommerce and back office solutions to
support the UK, France, Sweden & Spanish territories .

Consultant & Programme Management – Microsoft (UK)
My role was to manage a SharePoint, MOSS-2007 (Microsoft Office SharePoint Services),
AutoVue and CCMS (Documentum) installation and integration into Network Rail, on behalf
of Microsoft Consultancy Services. The scope of this project was to provide a controlled
collaboration portal and data repository (audit trial, data security, data management and
version control) of data for all areas of the Network Rail Business (Internal & External Users,
Supply Chain, Contractors and Design Agencies etc). Project delivery was delivered to
aggressive time-scales within a challenging client environment.

IT Director - Sainsbury's “Convenience”, J Sainsbury's PLC, Holborn London
IT Director for a nationwide chain of 445 Convenience, Locals and Central stores, which
range between 2,000 – 20,000 square feet. A member of the Sainsbury's Convenience
Operating Board, responsibilities for IT and change within the Convenience, Locals and
Centrals and acquired companies and subsequently implementing, supporting and
expanding replacement systems with a special focus on Convenience and Main
Supermarkets. Managing a large team of people internally and outsourced delivering
projects across the UK. Total IT budget £75m.
JUN 1989 – FEB 2005
IT Board Director, Bells Stores Ltd, Teesside
Mr role within a chain of 56 convenience stores, with £60m turnover (which was acquired by
Sainsbury's PLC in Feb 2004) was reporting to the CEO with responsibilities which included
operating as a Consultant and Senior Executive whilst retaining hands-on skills in specialist
areas. These areas included Finance (BAAN)-Oracle, HR & Payroll Systems, Ecommerce /
Internet Systems, the Data warehouse, Supply Chain Logistics, Warehouse Systems and
Store POS Systems. I also developed and supported the Board, all Management and a 15member IT team whilst devising a number of business solutions and associated business
change.
